The Beneath our Surface Scholarship aims to encourage applicants to consider the impact that mental health and/or mental illness has had on their lives. This scholarship endeavors to create an open dialogue surrounding mental health and mental illness between applicants and their communities through open and honest reflection in the form of personal essays penned by each applicant. The Beneath our Surface Scholarship competition is open to full time undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled at Memorial University and is valued at $1,000.
