Make Midterm Matter

On Friday, Feb. 22, spend one day of your midterm break making a difference in your community. Register for Make Midterm Matter! Make Midterm Matter takes place each semester at Memorial University. Students spend one day of midterm break volunteering at designated community organizations. This semester, students can choose to volunteer with: – The Gathering Place – SPCA – West Tower Long Term Care Facility – East Tower Long Term Care Facility – The Agnes Pratt Assisted Living Facility – St. Patrick’s Mercy Home – St. Luke’s Nursing Home – Glenbrook Lodge Nursing Home – Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion – Manuels River Interpretation Centre – Home Again Furniture Bank -The Fluvarium At each location, you can expect to work, communicate and problem-solve in small teams, and learn how you might help meet the needs and challenges of a particular social organization. You will reflect on how your university experience contributes to your social responsibility and citizenship, and how you might create positive change through your actions.
