Rural Vitality: Partnerships and Placemaking Forum
Sunday, Sept. 23, 4-11 p.m.
Communities across rural NL are looking for opportunities to build on their existing assets and identify new opportunities for place-based development. The Bonavista Peninsula has used its unique built heritage resources to kickstart economic development and employment, ensure preservation of place, and secure the ultimate survival of its communities. Join us at Rural Vitality: Partnerships and Placemaking – a unique community-based forum where communities on the Bonavista Peninsula will tell their story and invite innovative ideas on how to harness built heritage for community revitalization. Trinity Historical Society is co-organizing the forum with the Bonavista-Trinity Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Sir William Ford Coaker Heritage Foundation, and Tourism Elliston, with support from the Environmental Policy Institute of Grenfell Campus, Memorial University. We gratefully acknowledge our many partner organizations in the region, as well as our funding partners, the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and the Memorial University Office of Public Engagement. The forum will take place from June 14th-17th, 2018 in communities across the Bonavista region.
