“So Often Against Us”: Blacks, Migration and Canada’s History

Dr. Paul Banahene Adjei is an Associate Professor and the Interim Dean of the School of Social Work, Memorial University of Newfoundland. Paul has gained a national and an international recognition as a public speaker, a trainer, a consultant, and a researcher in the areas of social justice, anti-black racism, critical race, critical whiteness studies, and anti-colonialism. He has offered anti-racism training to many federal and provincial government agencies. He was recently awarded a Diaspora Fellowship to the University of Ghana, a Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship award that sends the recipient to an African Institutions of higher education to contribute to research, capacity building, and curriculum development.
