Whale-y Wednesday: Junior High Session

Wednesday, March 15, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m.

Online

The ocean is big and we don’t just mean in terms of size: it’s also full of huge opportunities when it comes to creative, meaningful and exciting careers. Join Let’s Talk Science Outreach and Memorial University to hear from a group of intriguing people working in jobs that are connected to the sea. Hear their stories and participate in interactive activities, like identifying local whale species and doing a hands-on experiment about the properties of ocean water!

This 90-minute session is recommended for students in junior high across Newfoundland and Labrador and beyond. This session is being presented as part of Memorial’s Big Splash, a province-wide initiative to share all the amazing ocean-related work happening at our university and in our communities. #BigSplash. We can’t wait for you to dive in on this fun session!
