Reconstruction of Limb Deformity: Child to Adult

Author of the award-winning children’s book Maria’s Marvelous Bones (2018), Dr. Carrie Kollias is Deputy Director of Orthopaedics and Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Melbourne, and Honorary Fellow, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute will present this public lecture. She is a Fellow (Orthopaedics) of both the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as well as the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Dr. Kollias was raised in New Brunswick and attended University of Alberta, followed by Medical School and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at University of Calgary (2010). She then went on to complete fellowships in Paediatric Orthopaedics and combined Adult/Paediatric Limb Reconstruction (Limb Deformity) in Melbourne, Australia. Her current practice focuses on child and adolescent foot and ankle, limb deformity, neuromuscular, and child hip reconstruction. This lecture is open to all faculty, staff and students.
