Francophone researchers at Memorial are invited to a meeting with Dr. Thierry Drapeau, the director of Service to Assist Research in French (SARF) with Acfas, a Canadian non-profit organization focusing on the advancement of science in French language.
Founded by Acfas in 2022, SARF is a Canada-wide interuniversity research support service. Their goal is to support the development and vitality of research conducted in the French language in Canada’s francophone minority settings. The SARF team offers first-hand guidance and support to French-speaking researchers seeking research funding from the Tri-Council agencies. SARF is now active at Saint Paul University, York University, and partnerships are under way with Simon Fraser University, University of Saskatchewan, and the University of Winnipeg, among others.
