Memorial University Libraries is entering a team in the Avalon Dragons Paddle in Paradise Dragon Boat Festival set for Saturday, July 19th, 2025 at Octagon Pond in Paradise, NL (alternate weather date is July 20th). The “Memorial University Library Launchers” is a team of 18 paddlers raising money to support the Avalon Dragons, a breast cancer survivor team, as they promote the role that an active lifestyle can play in preventing complications and reoccurrence of breast cancer. The team also proudly celebrates the 100th anniversary of the founding of Memorial University.
