REDCap is a secure, web-based application used to build and manage online surveys and databases for research and other data collection projects. Its features include online consent, participant scheduling, and data quality tools, and it supports both online and offline data capture. REDCap is designed to securely store sensitive information while complying with HIPAA and GDPR regulations.
In Part 1, participants will be introduced to REDCap and how to build and manage basic surveys by moving through a project’s lifespan within the platform. In Part 2, we will dig deeper into some of the more advanced functionality available, such as longitudinal surveys, special functions (including calculations), piping and managing project access and roles. With these tools, researchers will be able to create conditional surveys, automate data analysis, track participants and manage large datasets.
