Abstract

Publishing is a core part of graduate training, but it can also be a powerful tool for skill development, visibility, and career building. This workshop is designed for graduate students and trainees who want to better understand the publishing process and how to leverage it strategically. We’ll discuss how to approach publishing as a trainee, how journals can support skill building and professional development, and how to highlight publications and research outputs on a CV to demonstrate impact. The session will also touch on how to engage with journals beyond authorship, including peer review, editorial work, and outreach opportunities, and how these experiences can strengthen both academic and non-academic career paths.

All are welcome to attend. Please mark your calendars and join us for this exciting presentation.

Best regards,

Presented by Department of Human Biosciences
