SESSION 4: DESIGNING YOUR ASESSMENTS
This workshop examines the importance of aligning assessments with course learning outcomes and designing clear writing assignment prompts.
Practical strategies will be shared to improve assignment design and student learning outcome alignment.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the role and importance of aligning your assessments to course learning outcomes.
- Design clear and transparent writing assignment prompts using specified criteria that support meaningful learning and fair assessment.
Participants are invited to bring course syllabi, descriptions of assessments and samples of assessments previously used.
