What makes Stephen Sondheim’s music so compelling for singers and audiences alike? Sondheim for the Voice brings together internationally recognized Sondheim scholar Elizabeth A. Wells, soprano Christina Haldane, bass-baritone Branden Olsen, and pianist Carl Philippe Gionet for a lecture-recital featuring landmark songs from the musical theatre repertoire. Through performance, discussion, and scholarship, audiences are invited to explore the vocal, dramatic, and interpretive artistry that has made Sondheim one of the most influential voices in contemporary musical theatre.
