The Board of Regents has approved the following appointments and reappointments to the Canadian Centre for Fisheries Innovation (CCFI) Board of Directors for a period of three years (to December 2019). Gabe Gregory, fisheries and business consultant, has been re-appointed as industry representative. Alastair O’Reilly, principal at Values and Vision, has been appointed chairman and industry representative. Michelle Boudreau, president, Fisheries Council of Canada, Brian McNamara, president, Newfoundland Resources Limited, Laura Halfyard, general manager, Sunrise Fish Farms and president of the Newfoundland Aquaculture Industry Association, and Winston Pitcher, independent inshore fish harvester, have been appointed as industry representatives. Wanda Wiseman, assistant deputy minister (acting), Fisheries and Aquaculture, Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agrifoods, has been appointed as government representative.
