Dr. Maura Hanrahan, Fogo Island Fellow and chair, Humanities Program, Grenfell Campus, presented on the topic Canadian Identity and the Exclusion of the Indigenous: The Water Security Lens during the British Association of Canadian Studies Annual Conference, in London, U.K., on April 24, 2015. Dr. Hanrahan also presented The Arctic in the Western Mind, during an Arctic Workshop, at the University of Tartu, Tartu, Estonia, on May 26, 2015, as well as A Story of Contrasts: The Settler Romantic Tradition and the Beothuk and Mi’kmaq of Newfoundland for Native American and Indigenous Studies, Washington, D.C., on June 5, 2015.
