Halina Sapeha

February 11, 2016

Dr. Halina Sapeha, post-doctoral fellow in the Faculty of Arts, presented her research at the Coordination Committee for Newcomer Integration at the Association of New Canadians in St. John’s on Feb. 2. Her presentation focused on immigrants’ satisfaction with their settlement as one of the indicators of success of immigration programmes, and the link to immigrant retention. Dr. Saphea’s research examines the extent to which economic and social integration factors, human capital and area level factors are associated with immigrants’ satisfaction with their settlement experience in Canada.
