Adopt a Garden
Thursday, July 11, 12-2 p.m.
Memorial Tower, near University Centre
Are you passionate about gardening or a beginner gardener wanting to learn? Would you like to meet fellow gardeners and get some fresh air and exercise during your lunch break? The Adopt a Garden program will hold volunteer gardening sessions on Thursdays from 12:00 to 2:00 pm until Aug. 1 at various locations.
On July 11, meet next to the Memorial Tower, to work on the gardens near the University Centre. Stay for the whole time or drop by for a few minutes.
Gardening tools and gloves will be provided or bring your own if you prefer. Please come ready for gardening with closed toe shoes, clothes that can protect you from thorns, and sun protection.
Contact beautification@mun.ca for more information, to register in advance, and to be added to the reminder list. Drop-ins are also welcome.
If you adopted a garden on campus in the past and would like to continue to work on it, please let us know.
