Come join us for a talk by Dr. Renae Watchmann, Associate Professor of Indigenous Studies at McMaster University. Dr. Watchmann will talk about Marie Clements 2022 film Bones of Crows, “a multi-generational epic and story of resilience told through the eyes of Cree Matriarch Aline Spears” and explore going beyond the concept of Vergangenheitsbewältigung (‘coming to terms with’ the past). Discussion to follow; light refreshments provided.
