Art Exhibit Opening: To Soothe a Smouldering Heart

Friday, Sept. 18, 6:15-7:30 p.m.

Queen Elizabeth II Library First Space Gallery (first floor)

The First Space Gallery in the QEII Library is pleased to host an opening for the exhibit To Soothe a Smouldering Heart by Joanne Cole.

“The work explores the power of nature and it ability to keep moving forward in the wake of destructive forces,” said Ms. Cole. The show, a response to the Kingston Wildfire of 2025, uses a variety of materials from the fire itself including ant-hill clay as pigment.

The opening will be taking place on Sept. 18 from 6:15-7:30pm in the First Space Gallery of the QEII Library. Light refreshments will be served and parking is available in Lot 18.
