Assessing Student Writing: Standards or Labour?

This workshop for academic instructors deals with diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice in writing assessment in any academic discipline. The workshop will be useful for all instructors who assign, or are thinking about assigning, writing assignments in their courses, from discipline-specific writing assignments to more general, low-stakes writing-to-learn assignments. Instructors will leave with an outline or plan for a series of writing assignments for one of their courses.
