Becoming a Fulbright Grant Holder: Is It For You?

The 2021-2022 Canada Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Environmental Science at Carleton University, Professor Sarah Michaels, will host an informal session for Canadian students and scholars to explore whether to apply to The Canada-U.S. Fulbright Program. The Program is an opportunity for outstanding Canadians to conduct research in the United States. In addition, Fulbright students have the opportunity to study and scholars to lecture. Mr. Paulo Carvalho, Program Officer, Outreach at the Foundation for Educational Exchange between Canada and the United States of America (Fulbright Canada) will join the session remotely to discuss what the specific opportunities are to which Canadian students and scholars can apply. He will also explain the application process. Mr. Carvalho is responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of the Foundation’s recruitment strategy for both the student and scholar awards and is the primary point of contact for grantees, alumni, and partners on matters relating to recruitment.
