“Preclinical Micro-Computed Tomography for “in-vivo” Imaging of living rodents and High Resolution Non-Destructive 3-D Sample Analysis”
Abstract:
For 9 months (Oct 2022 – Jun 2023), Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) will host the province’s 1st Micro-Computed Tomography (micro-CT) imaging lab, during the Sabbatical study residence of Dr. Michael Doschak from the University of Alberta.
“In-vivo” Micro-CT is an X-ray based imaging modality that permits the non-invasive 3-Dimensional examination of living rodent tissues at multiple temporal time points at very high resolution (up to 9 microns orthotropic), which is orders of magnitude greater than conventional clinical Computed Tomography (CT)`
