Black Health Equity and Why EDI Is Just Not Enough

Registration is now open for the next presentation entitled “Black Health Equity And Why EDI Is Just Not Enough” in the Faculty of Medicine’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion speaker series.

Dr. OmiSoore Dryden will be presenting “Black Health Equity and why EDI is just not enough” at noon on February 28th in the Frank and Eileen Gronich Lecture Theatre (room 1M102).  It will also be broadcasted virtually Via Webex (online).

During this session, Dr. Dryden will build a foundational understanding of the historical roots, ongoing privilege, and interlocking systems of oppression that perpetuate Anti-Black racism. Participants will understand how anti-Black racism is demonstrated in medicine and medical education and will have the opportunity to reflect on interventions and actions.
