Blue Box Seminar: Digitalization and the New Geography of Mining

Friday, Nov. 24, 3-4 p.m.

SN-2025

Digitalization is the use of digital technologies (computers, related software, the Internet, etc.) to change a business model and provide new revenue and value-producing opportunities.

In the mining sector, digitalization is affecting where, how, and by whom work is done, and therefore a new geography of mining is emerging. The seminar will explore this new geography and its implications with a particular focus on experience in Australia and Canada.”
