Body Works: A Public Exhibit

Visitor Advisory: This exhibit contains real human anatomical specimens. Some visitors, particularly children, may find the displays graphic or emotionally difficult. Please use your discretion when deciding whether this exhibit is appropriate for your family.

Memorial University’s Faculty of Medicine is opening their doors to their Body Works anatomical exhibit.  This collection of real plastinated human specimens was created by Dr. Shakti Chandra,

a professor emerita and renowned anatomy educator.

Dr. Chandra will share insights about the plastination process and her groundbreaking work in medical education and community outreach. There will be visual displays and a chance to engage directly with the science of the human body in an ethical and educational way.  Memorial University partners and external organizations will also be on hand to provide interactive demonstrations.

Free parking is available in lot 30 and levels two and three of lot 27.  This event is free of charge; however, registration is required.
