CITL Instructor Series: GenAI Literacy: What Instructors Need to Know

Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2-3 p.m.

Online

The presenter for this session is Chelsea Humphries, Public Services Librarian, Grenfell Campus

Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI)  is reshaping teaching, learning, and research. Faculty need strong AI literacy skills to set clear, ethical expectations for students and guide appropriate use in the classroom.

Join Chelsea Humphries, Public Services Librarian and current chair of the Memorial Libraries AI Strategic Project Team, for an accessible overview of the strengths and limitations of the latest iterations of GenAI tools and key ethical issues surrounding their use, including academic integrity, copyright, privacy, and environmental impacts. We will also introduce the Libraries’ AI Guide as a practical resource for faculty and students.

Registration is required for this event.
