CITL Instructor Series: Critical AI Literacy: Talking to Students About Generative-AI

Tuesday, March 25, 2-2 p.m.

Online

The presenter for this session is Dr. Cecile Badenhorst, Professor, Faculty of Education.

How can we help students navigate the challenges of generative AI? How can we develop practical ethical principles that students can use in their decision-making, particularly in relation to reading and writing? In a context of rapidly changing technologies where each new tool produces something promising to be more robust than the last, how do we help students make choices that enhance their learning? In this workshop, we will focus on developing critical AI literacies that can be included in our classroom practice.
