Communicating in Plain Language
Thursday, Feb. 29, 12-1 p.m.
Online
Do you ever struggle with communicating about your work and research to non‐academic or non‐expert audiences? Do you want your results to make an impact on behaviour, policy, or practice? We can help!
Join Leah Curnew, Communications Coordinator (Knowledge Translation) for NL SUPPORT/Quality of Care NL, to learn how to communicate in plain language. During this session, Leah will cover plain language best practices for written and oral communication and provide some practical tips that you can apply to any field. You will also have an opportunity to put what you learn into practice through some activity-based discussions. Attendees will leave feeling ready to share their research and work in a way that is clear and accessible to key audiences. This session is intended for anyone interested in learning more about writing and speaking in plain language.
