Connecting the Dots: Sustainability Gathering
Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2-3:30 p.m.
BN-4015
The Centre for Social Enterprise, Ocean Frontier Institute, and Sustainability and Climate Action Office are pleased to invite you to a gathering focused on sustainability, climate action, and related initiatives at Memorial University.
When: October 6, 2026 | 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Location: Social Changemaker Space, BN-4015
Across Memorial’s campuses, there are many individuals, teams, researchers, educators, staff, and students contributing to sustainability-related work. From climate action and oceans to food systems, waste reduction, research, teaching and learning, community engagement, and social innovation, valuable work is happening every day.
This initial gathering is an opportunity to learn more about who is involved in sustainability-related work at St. John’s Campus (including student groups, researchers, faculty, initiatives, units, etc.), identify common challenges and opportunities, and explore how we might work together more effectively.
Together, we will discuss:
- What sustainability-related work, initiatives, research, or projects are currently underway?
- What support, resources, or connections would help advance this work?
- What opportunities exist for collaboration across units, disciplines, etc.?
- What might a regular sustainability network at Memorial look like?
This will be an interactive session designed to surface ideas, make connections, and help shape future collaboration across the university. We would be delighted to have you join us and contribute your perspectives to the conversation.
Please email socialenterprise@mun.ca to RSVP.
