MAINSTAGE SERIES

Inuit Connections is a concert of contemporary and sacred classical music sung in Inuktitut and English, performed by Inuk soprano Deantha Edmunds. Inuk soprano Deantha Edmunds, recently appointed a member of the Order of Canada, will share original selections from her award-winning Indigenous classical album, ‘Connections.’ She will also sing sacred selections in Inuktitut from her album ‘Pillorikput Inuit: Inuktitut Arias for All Seasons.’ Edmunds hopes this program will give her audience a glimpse into who she is, how she walks through this world and who and what she carries with her.
