The Student Design Hub is excited to present a new Speaker Series: Design Leaders in Tech. The goal of this series will be to explore how local tech companies approach product design.

Our first speaker will be Howard Rideout, VP of Engineering at Mysa Smart Thermostats. Howard received his B.Eng – Electrical Engineering from Memorial University (Class of 2004) and went on to get a M.A.Sc. degree from the University of Ottawa in 2006. Since graduating Howard has had an exciting career and has worked with several tech start-ups. In this seminar Howard will discuss how Mysa approaches designing products, and how their designs have evolved over time to meet user needs.
