Disaster Chef Challenge

Wednesday, May 7, 12-1 p.m.

Memorial Tower, near University Centre

When an emergency happens people often have to evacuate their homes or they may find themselves with no power for extended periods of time. Those that are prepared have a well stocked emergency kit that contains a selection of yummy non-perishable foods and even possibly a propane camp stove and basic cooking supplies to get them through these tough times.

Members of the Memorial community have created recipes from items you would find in an emergency kit. The three finalists of the Disaster Chef Challenge will compete for the coveted Disaster Chef title. They will prepare their recipe for a panel of judges. Come cheer on your fellow students, and colleagues and find out who will be crowed the Disaster Chef!

The competition will take place at the MUN Clocktower on Wednesday, May 7 from 12-1 PM as part of Emergency Preparedness Week.
