Flying Pooka! is the duo of saxophonist and vocalist Dani Oore and pianist Florian Hoefner. Formed during the pandemic during Oore’s time as postdoc at MUN the two are now launching their debut album “The Ecstasy of Becoming”. Whenever they play, all music is made up in the moment. Their kinship and synergy explodes in exuberant melodious rhythmic improvisations with harmonic sophistication and structural depth. Raw, elegant, bold, fragile …and maybe playful. $26/$20 (fees included)
