The Newfoundland and Labrador SUPPORT Unit is excited to offer the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research (SPOR) Foundations in Patient-Oriented Research.
This online workshop will provide you with an interactive opportunity to build the necessary skills to partner in and conduct patient-oriented research.
This workshop is relevant to: patients (people with lived experience of the healthcare system and their caregivers/families/friends), researchers, decision makers, healthcare professionals interested in research, and policy makers.
This five session program includes the following modules:
- Patient-Oriented Research
- Health Research in Canada Fundamentals
- Building Partnerships and Consolidating Teams
Participants will meet virtually once a week (from 1:00pm – 3:00pm on Thursdays) for five (non-consecutive) weeks.
Our first meeting will be October 20th, 2022 and our last will be December 1st, 2022.
Participants who attend all three modules will receive a certificate of completion from CIHR.
