Monday, Sept. 25, 12-1 p.m.

Online

Policy. It’s a term we hear often but how well do we understand it? How are public policies made and changed, and can your research influence the process? Does it need to influence policy directly in order to effect health system changes? Learn a little bit about the policy decision-making process in government and some key issues to consider when approaching decision makers about using your research findings to drive positive change.

Speaker:

Cheryl Etchegary is a health policy analyst with Quality of Care/NL SUPPORT where she provided Secretariat support for the Community Care Committee of Health Accord NL and is currently involved in projects related to the implementation of Family Care Teams in the province.
