Research Week 2025 Event!

Join the Marine Conservation Areas (MCA) project team and partners as they share exciting results, stories, and lessons from four years of intensive offshore monitoring. This dynamic Research Week event brings together students, researchers, staff, and collaborators to showcase the highlights, breakthroughs and knowledge gained from over 250 days at sea in Newfoundland waters. From vibrant coral gardens to tiny amphipods and swarming zooplankton, experience the full spectrum of marine life the team has been monitoring. Hear firsthand accounts from students and researchers, explore innovative sampling techniques and see how this collaborative work is helping Canada reach its 30x30 marine conservation goals. Discover how science, partnerships, and exploration combine to protect and understand our oceans. It’s an event not to be missed!  Light refreshments will be available.
