Growing Mushrooms Outdoors: Totem Method

Join Windy Heights Farm and learn how to grow your own mushrooms outside. This workshop is for individuals that have an interest in growing their own mushrooms but have little to no experience. Windy Heights Farm will provide a brief overview of different mushroom types and how they grow, followed by an explanation of the mushrooms that will be grown using the Totem Method.

You will then make your own Lions Mane Mushroom totem to take home.* Lions Mane are both delicious and highly medicinal and have no look-alikes in Newfoundland, therefore cannot be confused with any other mushrooms that may grow on the totem.

*Please Note participants will need access to a garden/wooded area or shaded balcony, in order to complete the grow cycle.

Pre-registration required. Cost $40 includes all materials.
