Guided Snowshoe: Animal Tracks
Saturday, Feb. 17, 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
306 Mount Scio Rd.
Join Environmental Educator Kira Whittaker for a guided snowshoe tour through our boreal forest trails. Kira will teach about the different tracks we see, what animals made the tracks, and what sort of information we can learn about the animal from their tracks. In addition, we will learn how to identify bird calls and submit our observations as part of the Great Backyard Bird Count for Birds Canada.
This event involves snowshoeing along established winter trails with moderate inclines. There will be frequent stops to listen for bird calls and examine tracks.
Two sessions are offered: 10:30am-12:00noon & 1:30-3:00pm
Space is limited to 10 registrants per session. Bring your own snowshoes or rent ours.
$10 per person, plus snowshoe rental if required.
