Wednesday, June 19, 6-7:30 p.m.
The Launch, 4 Northside Rd., Holyrood, N.L.
The Marine Institute is investigating the development of a Marine Autonomous Test Zone and wants your input.
The Marine Institute invites residents of the Conception Bay region, from Topsail to Port DeGrave, to an information and public consultation session about a proposed Marine Autonomous Test Zone in Conception Bay.
The session will take place Wednesday, June 19, 2024, 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at The Launch (Arthur W. May Building), 4 Northside Road, Holyrood, NL.
The test zone will allow for the deployment and operation of uncrewed marine vehicles, both above and below the surface, in a specific area under an approved safety management system.
The zone is being designed with other users in mind, so it will have minimal or no impact on commercial and recreational activities in the area.
Come to The Launch to hear more about the test zone, provide your feedback and learn about how the Marine Institute’s work is benefitting out oceans.
