Interdisciplinary Geriatric Emergency Department Education Day

Join us for a full day dedicated to advancing the care of older adults in emergency settings at the Interdisciplinary Geriatric Emergency Department (ED) Education Day. This event will bring together healthcare providers from various disciplines to explore critical topics in geriatric emergency medicine, offering tools and insights to enhance the quality of care for older patients.

Education Day Goals

  1. Provide an understanding of geriatric emergency medicine topics – including delirium, dementia, frailty and atypical presentations –  relevant to healthcare providers in the emergency department (ED).
  2. Assist healthcare providers and leaders in the ED with the tools and knowledge to apply an interdisciplinary approach to the care of the older adult in the ED.
  3. Demonstrate how the care of older adults in the ED fits within the continuum of care for older adults throughout healthcare systems.

Target Audience: Emergency physicians, Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Residents, and other Allied Health Professionals.

Format: Hybrid (In-person and Virtual). Webex link will be emailed to registrants 24 hours before the talk.

Recording: All sessions will be recorded.
