International Astronomy Day

Saturday, May 3, 1-5 p.m.

Johnson Geo Centre, Signal Hill

Let’s celebrate International Astronomy Day with our friends from the Royal Astronomical Society Canada (St. John’s)!

RASC volunteers will be on site with a display, telescope clinic, and solar viewing during the afternoon. Weather permitting they will return to our Geo parking lot in the evening to view and interpret the night sky. The moon will be in its first quarter, which is a great time for viewing, if the clouds stay away.

During the day Geo staff will have a scavenger hunt, space-themed craft, and our solar telescopes. We will also be unveiling a new addition to the Our Future and Space exhibit. Come see what we’ve been working on!

Regular Admission applies

Presented by Johnson Geo Centre
