Monsters and Ghosts: Exploring Creative Strategies for Regenerative Re-imagination in the Anthropocene

Friday, Oct. 10, 1:30-4 p.m.

SN-4087

Join us for a workshop by interdisciplinary artist-researcher Rona Rangsch, Adjunct Professor at Memorial University.

Climate collapse and ecological grief can leave us feeling overwhelmed. How can critical creative practice and artistic research help us respond regeneratively?
This workshop draws on posthumanist concepts – such as multispecies entanglement and intra-agency – and invites participants to counter eco-anxiety by exploring research-creation modes for re-imagination and empowerment.

  • Open to all – no prior knowledge needed
  • Presentation of visual artworks as sparks for discussion
  • Focus on reflection & ideation across mediums

See the full workshop description at https://www.rangsch.de/MNG_workshop.html

Presented by Rabble Rousers Initiative, Department of Gender Studies
