MUNalum 101: Berries and the Brain

Tuesday, Sept. 14, 1-2 p.m.

Online

The hills are blue with berries, and while we all know that pancakes, pies and crisps are good for the soul, fewer people are aware of the healing powers of blueberries on the brain.

Studies have shown that the antioxidants found in blueberries can help protect the brain from aging, inflammation and neurogenerative disorders. Dr. Weber and his team believe berry extracts may be beneficial to cardiovascular health and to reduce the effects of some diseases, and help protect against the effects of traumatic brain injuries.

Join Dr. John Weber of Memorial’s School of Pharmacy on Sept. 14 to learn how this superfood can improve your health!
