MUNalum 101: Sleep

Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1-2 p.m.

Online

Sleep. It is elusive for so many people. It is the foundation for all other health behaviours.

Dr. Sheila Garland is a clinical health psychologist who specializes in the treatment of sleep disorders. She is an associate professor of psychology at Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. Dr. Garland decided to focus her clinical and research interests on sleep because she considers it to be the foundation for all other health behaviours. In her presentation she will discuss why we sleep, the importance of sleep for our health, common sleep disorders, and present some strategies for getting better sleep.

After this session, you will get your sleep, just in time for the holidays!
