MUNch and Learn: Career Planning Session

Thursday, March 9, 3-6 p.m.

This event is aimed to help students transition from their classroom to their careers. Students will be provided with career-related-tips and learn about their own innate strengths to assist them in their career planning as well as techniques that will help them navigate their career path. Pizza will be provided for lunch.

Topics covered for the session include:

Resume and Cover Letter-What is a resume, and why do you need one? Crafting an effective resume is one of the first steps in your job search process.
Job Search Strategies– Searching for a job can feel like a full time job! Learn how to dive into the hidden job market to find employment more efficiently upon graduation.
Strengths-Unlock your innate strengths by completing a Strengths assessment and learn how to use your strengths in your personal, academic and career planning lives.
LinkedIn– Learn effective strategies for making the most of LinkedIn and how to best network with industry professionals using this tool.
Interview Skills-An interview is an opportunity to showcase your skills and suitability for the position and the organization. Learn tips and strategies to ace the interview.
