On September 26, join MMaP for a free public lecture by Friedlind Riedel (Bauhaus-University Weimar) entiteld “By Musical Means: Cultural Techniques of Disentangling in Littoral Myanmar.”
Drawing on ideas from German media philosophy and Theraväda Buddhism, this talk explores the complex ways that Burmese musical dramas serve as sites of ritual transformation.
