Newfoundland and Labrador in a Global Era

Thursday, June 13, 7-9 p.m.

B-2007, Signal Hill Campus; online

What is NL’s place in global issues like energy, the arctic, and fisheries? How can NL engage with international actors to take action on what matters?

NL’s policy focus has traditionally been inward – from confederation, to regionalization, our politicians and public leaders are engaged in conversation with St. John’s and Ottawa. Yet, looking to the future, many of the challenges the province faces – from energy, to the Arctic, to the fisheries – require also looking outward and thinking broadly about the place of the province in the world. Join us for an engaging conversation about Newfoundland and Labrador in a global era.

This event is free and open to the general public. You can register to attend online or in-person at mun.ca/harriscentre

Part of the Participedia School on Transnational Democratic Innovations. Visit the Harris Centre website to view more events and join the conversation.
