This webinar will introduce the SPOR Evidence Alliance’s innovative, patient and public-led model for health research priority setting, empowering patients and the public to shape research agendas by identifying key health priorities. Using a modified James Lind Alliance (JLA) approach, the SPOR Evidence Alliance amplifies patient voices, focusing on topics submitted by patients and public partners to ensure research aligns with real-world needs. Attendees will learn about the multi-step framework guiding topic selection, with patient partners advising at each stage. The session will also highlight the SPOR Evidence Alliance’s commitment to inclusive participation, showcasing the resources provided to support the steering panel of patient partners and researchers in selecting the top 20 topics from 2023. These topics were developed into research projects, and the webinar will share exciting updates on their current status, as well as the ongoing support provided to project teams (researchers and patient partner co-leads) to foster impactful health research.
