Quizzes in Brightspace: Randomizing Your Quiz
Friday, Jan. 13, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
Online
Presenting each student in your course with a slightly different version of the same quiz increases the integrity of the assessment, as students are less likely to turn to academic dishonesty.
The Brightspace Quizzes tool allows instructors to configure quizzes in a such a way that each student will get a different version of the same quiz. In this session, various methods of randomizing a Brightspace quiz will be illustrated such as shuffling questions and answer choices; creating a question pool and populating a quiz (or a section within it) with a random selection of questions from the pool; and more. The role of the ‘Question Library’ will also be discussed.
