Rubrics in Brightspace

Thursday, Feb. 25, 10-11 a.m.

Online

Rubrics are an effective and efficient way to authentically assess student learning. Articulating specific criteria by which students will be assessed helps them to prepare more thoughtful submissions that are aligned with your expectations. As an added bonus, rubrics provide an objective and systematic method for grading work. Brightspace Rubrics offers a variety of rubric types and easy-to-modify templates to meet your specific assessment needs. This session will provide a general overview of the benefits and best practices in designing rubrics, an introduction to the rubric types and templates in Brightspace, along with step-by-step guidance on how to create and add a rubric to your assessment.

This session will be hosted in Webex. For more information and to register for this event, please go to: https://blog.citl.mun.ca/technologyresources/workshop-consults/

You can enter the room 10 minutes before the start of the session.
