Salaam B’y: A Night to Celebrate Kindness

Join us on Thursday, March 27, for a special screening of the award-winning short documentary by Clarenville’s own, Aatif Baskanderi (B.Eng.’08, MTM’15), Salaam B’y – A Story of a Muslim Newfoundlander.

Aatif shares his inspiring story of inclusion as a Muslim child of Pakistani newcomers in Newfoundland, highlighting the theme of “Communities of Kindness”. Following the film will be a discussion with Aatif and Zach Goudie on communities of kindness, like the one he grew up in!

The is event is being presented in partnership with Memorial University’s 100th anniversary.
